Ron Reilly

Ronald Reilly
PE, QSD | President / CEO | Garing, Taylor & Associates, Inc. | Arroyo Grande

Mr. Reilly, a registered civil engineer in the State of California and President of GTA, earned his B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and has 15 years in the civil engineering industry. While his career has taken him to the Inland Empire, the Bay Area, Sacramento, Fresno and, finally, back to the Central Coast – he and his wife have always considered SLO County to be their home.

An expert in development strategy here on California’s Central Coast, his engineering and design experience ranges from the simple grading, drainage and utilities for single family homes and accessory dwelling units, to complex hydraulic and hydrologic studies, public infrastructure (including roads and underground utilities) and large-scale grading, drainage, utility, septic and erosion control design for residential, industrial, commercial, mixed-use and public land development projects ranging in size from less than 1 acre to over 200 acres. As President at Garing, Taylor and Associates, Inc., an engineering and land surveying firm located in Arroyo Grande and incorporated in 1962, Mr. Reilly employs and leads a team of 6 licensed engineers, 2 licensed land surveyors, 1 licensed architect and several technical and administrative support staff.

In his professional life, Mr. Reilly is passionate about leadership, strategic planning and implementation, building trusting and durable relationships, marketing, business operations, logistics and helping improve and enrich the lives of those in his employ. He regularly seeks ways to make the seemingly robotic and calculated work of an engineer more human.

In his personal life, Mr. Reilly is a father to two young children, Scarlett (5) and Hudson (2), and a husband for more than 10 years to his amazing wife, Chantel. He is a huge baseball fan, a music enthusiast, an avid reader, an underwhelming guitarist and undeniably poor golfer.
