Garing, Taylor & Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking an assistant to our current office manager, to help tend to the administrative needs of our well-established and long-respected engineering and land surveying office. The work will be part time, initially, for 4-6 hours per day (and occasionally more as needed). GTA’s vision for the individual filling this position is to grow the individual into an independent and dependable staff member that can perform all of the duties of the Office Manager within the first year of employment. As the skills and responsibilities of the successful candidate grow, so too will the hours, benefits and compensation.

The successful candidate will possess and/or demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Friendly, courteous and kind.
  • Drama-free, team player, poised to be a huge help to our staff and clients.
  • Dependable with dependable transportation.
  • Clean driving record and background check.
  • Ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
  • You consider yourself a permanent resident of the Central Coast.
  • You live within a 30 minute drive of our Arroyo Grande location.
  • Experience working in or around an engineering, architecture and/or construction environment would be a bonus.
